How to Install Your Bin Hero

Follow our step-by-step guide for a hassle-free experience.

Step 1

Unpack & Lay it Out

Stand at the rear of your trash bin as if you were approaching to push or pull it. Remove Bin Hero from its packaging and place it on the top of your trash bin with the label facing you.

Step 2

Align The Straps

Grab both straps on each side of your Bin Hero and wrap them around the corners of the lid, so they sit in the groove beneath the lid's lip.
Don't have grooves on your lid? Worry not! 😌 We provide special N-clips you can use instead. Read on to see how.

Step 3

Stretch & Cover

With the straps secured, pull the mesh part of your Bin Hero back toward you, then pull the bottom elastic down so it sits below your bin handle. Make sure the entire handle is covered by the fabric.

Step 4

Position The Lower Strap

Come around to the front side of your trash bin and move the bottom elastic strap from its initial position on the lid down around the upper body of the bin itself. If done correctly, the lid will open and close normally without affecting your Bin Hero!

Optional Step 1

Use Included N-Clips

If your trash bin has a lid without a lip on top to create a groove for Bin Hero's elastic straps to fit into, use the included N-clips for an equally good fit! Simply slip two N-clips onto the front-side edge of your trash bin's lid. The correct position will have the narrower section of the clip on the outside of the lid, pointing downward. Then just slip Bin Hero's elastic straps into the exposed section of the N-clip for a secure and effective fit.

OPTIONAL STEP 2

Secure With Anti-Theft Grommet

For extra peace of mind (and some extra wind resistance), slip the included zip-tie through the metal-lined hole in the center of your Bin Hero's label, so the lock sits on top. Wrap the tail of the zip-tie around the plastic frame near the bin handle and thread it back through the grommet to secure your Bin Hero to your trash bin.
